DGPA "Young Scientist Award" 2013:
Dr. Erik Mueller
Justus-Liebig-University in Gießen, Clinical Psychology, Germany
Between May 30th and June 1st, 2013, again several hundred scientists attended the annual meeting of the German Society for Applied Psychophysiology (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Psychophysiologie und ihre Anwendung; DGPA), which this year was held at the Congress Center Wuerzburg (CCW). As in previous years, Brain Products sponsored a prize, awarded to a young scientist who had presented an outstanding paper during the conference. This year’s winner was Dr. Erik Mueller (Justus-Liebig-University in Gießen / Clinical Psychology).

CNT Early Career Investigator Award 2012:
Dr Umair Javaid Chaudhury
UCL Institute of Neurology, Department of Clinical and Experimental Epilepsy, UK
The 2012 winner is Dr Umair Javaid Chaudhury currently a research associate in the Department of Clinical and Experimental Epilepsy, at the UCL Institute of Neurology. He is a bachelor of Medicine and bachelor of Surgery (Lahore, Pakistan), and has an MSc in Clinical Neurology (UCL). His thesis evaluated the haemodynamic correlates of interictal and ictal epileptic discharges and ictal semiology using simultaneous scalp video-EEG-fMRI and intracranial EEG-fMR.

Brains for Brains 2012:

The International Bernstein Conference 2012 took place at Klinikum rechts der Isar in Munich organized by the Bernstein Centere Munich. More than 20 renowned scientists gave lectures and over 250 posters were displayed. One of the highlights is the Bernstein Award for computational neuroscience that provides up to EUR 1.25 million for 5 years enabling excellent young researchers to build up an independent research group at a German research institution.

KogWis "Best Poster Award" 2012:

For some years, Brain Products has participated in the biannual meeting of the German Cognitive Science Society. This year it was held at the University of Bamberg (Sept. 30 to Oct. 3). It was not only a conference offering interesting talks on current problems in cognitive science but it also included a poster presentation. As usual, the event closed with the presentation of prizes such as student travel awards, paper awards and a best poster award. The latter was sponsored by Brain Products and the winner was Carolin Dudschig. She received a trophy and a certificate as well as a EUR 500 cheque.

DGPA "Young Scientist Award" 2012:
Dr. Gregor Maximilian Leicht
University Medical Centre Hamburg-Eppendorf, Germany
It has now become an established tradition to use the annual meeting of the DGPA (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Psychophysiologie und ihre Anwendungen e.v.) to award a prize to a young scientist who has presented an outstanding empirical or theoretical paper in the area of psychophysiological research involving electroencephalography (EEG). This year the annual meeting was held at the University of Jena on June 8 - 10 and the winner was Dr. Gregor Maximilian Leicht from the University Medical Centre Hamburg-Eppendorf. He received a trophy and a certificate as well as a 1000 Euro cheque sponsored by Brain Products.

BCI 2011 Conference "Best Poster & Best Talk Award":

At the BCI 2011 conference in Graz, Austria, Professor Jacques Vidal presented awards for the best poster and the best paper submitted. The recipients of the awards, Ms. C. Brains for Brains Awardees 2010
In 2010, the Bernstein Computational Neuroscience Association confers for the first time three "Brains for Brains Young Researchers' Computational Neuroscience Awards".
This years' awardees are: Ritvik Kumar Niyogi (India, curr. Gatsby Computational Neuroscience Unit, UK), Costas Lagogiannis (Greece, curr. University of Southampton, UK) and Martinez Cancino (Cuba, Cuban National Bioinformatics Center).
Besides a 500 Euro cash prize money, the award is equipped with a travel grant of up to 1.500 Euro covering a one-week trip to Germany and individually planned visits to up to three German research institions in Computational Neuroscience.

Brain Vision Prize for "Best Doctoral Presentation":
