Multimodal EEG workshop: Integrating EEG and neuronavigated TMS
Our Brain Products Academy workshop on Multimodal EEG workshop: Integrating EEG and neuronavigated TMS will take place in Milan, Italy. Join us September 15-17, 2025 to learn how to collect navigated TMS-EEG data and preprocess TMS-evoked potentials using customized Python scripts.
Day 1: Livestream introduction to nTMS-EEG and on-site workshop
On the first day, we will offer a livestream of the event for those unable to attend in person – in addition to an on-site workshop.
We will cover the basics of navigated TMS (nTMS) and the nature of the EEG signal. We will also provide an overview of the clinical applications of nTMS-EEG, with a focus on consciousness studies. A live demo session will give you the opportunity to see nTMS-EEG data collection in real time. This will be ideal for anyone who wants an introduction to the methodology and application of non-invasive brain stimulation and recording.
The first day of the workshop is free of charge for online attendees. While places are unlimited for the online attendees, we have a limited number of places available for the on-site workshop.
Days 2-3: Hands-on workshop
The following two days of the workshop will be on-site only. You will have the opportunity to actively participate in hands-on nTMS-EEG sessions, during which you will collect data from healthy volunteers. After covering an overview of data pre-processing, we will show you how to analyze collected data yourself. Practical sessions will include a comprehensive description of the nTMS-EEG methodology, several functional measures that can be computed from nTMS-EEG data, and a multiscale overview linking non-invasive measures of cortical reactivity to neuronal events. Attendance on days 2-3 requires a ticket.
Note: to ensure that all attendees get the most out of the hands-on workshop, in-person places will be limited.
