Microstates Conference 2022

We are pleased to sponsor the Microstates Conference 2022 with our friends from MES Forschungssyteme. The Microstates Conference is celebrating “50 Years of Microstates – Present State and Future Directions” this year. The conference will take place at the University of Bern in Switzerland from August 31 – September 3, 2022.

The phenomenon of microstates in scalp electromagnetic field data was first described 50 years ago. This initial observation evolved into a full-fledged research domain. Microstate analysis has been the specialty of a handful of groups for a long time. In recent years, however, there has been massive growth of researchers who address their specific questions using the theoretical and methodological concepts of microstates.

In fact, the Microstates Conference 2022 is the first international conference dedicated to EEG microstates. The conference organizers see this as moment to join forces. As such, the conference will be a place to share knowledge, deepen understanding and foster synergies. Additionally, they hope to address critical issues facing the emerging microstates research community.
