NeuroIS Retreat 2025

The NeuroIS Retreat will take place on May 26-28, 2025 at Schlosshotel Wilhelminenbergin Vienna, Austria. Brain Products is pleased to sponsor and attend the NeuroIS Retreat again in 2025. We will also present the X.on headset in a pre-event training course on May 26th.

The annual NeuroIS Retreat is an annual academic conference that promotes the development of the NeuroIS field. NeuroIS is a field in Information Systems (IS).  It combines neuroscience and neurophysiological tools and knowledge to better understand the development, adoption, and impact of information and communication technologies (www.neurois.org). In particular, research and development projects combining of IS and neurobiology will be presented.

In addition,  our Technical Product Manager and resident brain-computer interface expert, Dr. Alex Kreilinger, will contribute to the pre-conference training course. The NeuroIS Training Course 2025, an offer of the NeuroIS Society, offers participants a basic foundation in major concepts, methods, and tools related to NeuroIS research. This course is designed to actively develop NeuroIS research strategies for early-stage research ideas of interest to the participants. Participation will be valuable to PhD students and faculty of IS, computer science, and management. There are no specific prerequisites for participation. English is the course language.

During the training course, Alex Kreilinger will demonstrate how easy it is to integrate EEG measurements in your NeuroIS experiments using the new X.on EEG headset. Further, participants will have the chance to record EEG in various scenarios. These scenarios will cover resting EEG and standard behavioural tasks on up to hyperscanning setups. Afterward, participants will be able to analyze their recorded data in different software solutions.
