STE compact, a new Pulse Oximetry Sensor and the LiveAmp Mobility Set are here!
Brain Products always aims to give you the most reliable EEG setup whether you are in or outside of the lab. Our LiveAmp with Sensor and Trigger Extension (STE) is a great fit for mobile EEG studies. Nevertheless, we saw room for improvement. Today we’re announcing new releases that will enhance your mobile EEG setup even more: the STE compact, a new Pulse Oximetry Sensor and the LiveAmp Mobility Set. With these new developments, our mobile EEG solution is now as versatile as the research questions being addressed.
STE compact
Our latest product development is the STE compact. The STE compact has all proven features of the Sensor and Trigger Extension (STE) as well as more features for even better usability and an improved overall setup. Now, the STE compact directly integrates previously required accessories like a power bank and a Wireless Trigger Receiver. In addition, the STE compact has room for six additional sensor inputs. These inputs allow you to attach a photo sensor for stimulus presentation timing from a display, a force sensor for heel strike detection, a respiration belt, or a GSR sensor for example. Read our recent newsletter article to learn more about the new features of the STE compact.
Pulse Oximetry Sensor
We are especially excited to introduce a new member of our sensor family: Pulse Oximetry Sensor. New to our portfolio, this is the market-leading SpO2 Sensor by Nonin Medical. The Pulse Oximetry Sensor records blood oxygenation, heart rate and pulse waves by means of the photoplethysmogram (PPG). It can connect to a dedicated digital sensor input in the STE compact. In this way, the STE compact accommodates a total of 6+3 sensor signals that can be recorded along with the EEG measurements.
Mobility Set for LiveAmp
In mobile EEG applications the technical features and adaptability to the specific experiment take you only half way. Equally important is a wearable system that allows secure mounting of equipment, offers different configurations and is easy to fit to the participant for best comfort and freedom to move.
The recently introduced LiveAmp Mobility Set is already being used in and outside of labs around the globe. The Mobility Set is still compatible with current equipment, but was designed already with the STE compact in mind.
