BIP2AUX adapter
Analogue differential DC amplifier for bipolar ExG recordings (e.g. ECG, EMG, EOG)
Has three 1.5 mm touch proof connectors for two signal electrodes (+ / -) and GND
Allows recording of bioelectrical signals by means of amplifier AUX inputs
Amplifies the incoming signal for high-quality data acquisition
BIP2AUX: Bipolar-to-auxiliary to add bipolar channels to your setup
The BIP2AUX adapter is a tiny, analogue differential DC amplifier that amplifies the incoming signal to optimize it for the auxiliary inputs of our amplifiers or their extensions (e.g. actiCHamp (Plus), Sensor and Trigger Extension for LiveAmp, BrainAmp ExG AUX Box). The adapter consequently turns our amplifiers into even more versatile research tools by making them able to also record bioelectrical signals with a bipolar montage (a common way of acquiring ExG signals, like EOG, ECG or EMG).
Although amplifiers like our actiCHamp and actiCHamp Plus have on-board inputs for auxiliary sensors, these inputs are intended to accept signals that typically lie in the voltage (V) range, whereas the amplitude of bipolar bioelectrical signals typically has values of just a few millivolts (mV). This mismatch may prevent that such signals are acquired at optimal quality.
Therefore, if you are interested in recording bioelectrical signals with a bipolar montage, adding the BIP2AUX adapter to your setup will for sure improve the quality of your recordings with our EEG amplifiers.
