LiveAmp: Compact wireless EEG amplifiers for mobile EEG applications
LiveAmp is a wearable, 24 bit amplifier (available with 8, 16, 32 and 64 channels). As it is wireless and allows you to store your recorded data internally (i.e. on an exchangeable memory card), there are no mobility limitations. It is easy and intuitive to use and its technical specifications leave nothing to be desired.
Wireless
-
- Easily connects to any Windows® based recording computer
- Wireless transmission range: up to 10 m indoors and up to 30 m outdoors
- Recording time: up to 3.5 h with internal battery (extendable via power bank)
Ultra lightweight & compact
-
- Weight incl. battery: 60 g (8 – 32 channel versions), 120 g (64 channel version)
- Dimensions: 83 x 51 x 14 mm (8 – 32 channel versions), 140 x 83 x 18 (64 channel version)
Outstanding signal quality
The amplifier’s recording characteristics are comparable to high-end laboratory EEG systems, e.g.
-
- 24 bit A/D conversion
- Sampling rate: up to 1 kHz at a noise level of less than 2 µVpp with CMR higher than 80 dB (at 50/60 Hz)
Flexibility
-
- Can either be used as a referential EEG amplifier or set up as a combined referential and bipolar EEG amplifier
- Comes with a built in 3-axis accelerometer
- Can be used in combination with easy to prepare active electrodes (actiCAP slim/snap) for best data quality as well as gel-based passive electrodes (LiveCap)
- Also compatible with passive sponge-based electrodes (R-Net) or active dry electrodes (actiCAP Xpress Twist) when quick preparation times are crucial
Expandability
If you would like to add physiological signals to your mobile EEG setup, you can expand the amplifier system with a dedicated Sensor and Trigger Extension (STE) that offers 8 trigger in and 8 trigger out ports as well as connection possibilities for up to 8 sensors.
Independence
-
- Offers the possibility to store recorded data on the recording computer via wireless transmission, internally (i.e. on an exhangeable memory card) or on the recording computer via a micro memory card
- Data can be recorded for several hours without interruption, which gives you the potential to record high quality data virtually anywhere, and under any circumstances
LiveAmp 8 and LiveAmp 16
-
- Great match for MoBI (Mobile Brain/Body Imaging) and BCI (Brain-Computer Interface) applications when only a small number of EEG channels is needed
- 8 channel version: Can record a total of 8 channels, referential and/or bipolar
- 16 channel version: Can record a total of 16 referential channels with a maximum of 8 bipolar channels or 8 referential and 8 bipolar channels
LiveAmp 32
-
- Great match for MoBI (Mobile Brain/Body Imaging), BCI (Brain-Computer Interface), Sports, Sleep and Cognitive State applications
- Can record either 32 referential channels or 24 referential and 8 bipolar channels
LiveAmp 64
-
- Great match for MoBI (Mobile Brain/Body Imaging), BCI (Brain-Computer Interface), Sports, Sleep and Cognitive State applications
- Can record either 64 referential channels or 56 referential and 8 bipolar channels
- Allows to re-use existing actiCAP slim active electrode sets and actiCAP snap caps (i.e. by adding two LiveAmp 32 amplifiers and a 64-channel LiveAmp adapter to your lab’s equipment)
- Provides the added benefit of having two fully functional 32 channel LiveAmp amplifiers
LiveAmp Mobility Set
-
- The LiveAmp Mobility Set allows you to mount LiveAmp and additional equipment like the Sensor & Trigger Extension (STE) with power bank easily and securely. Depending on the experiment, the harness be worn with the mount plate on the chest or on the back of the participant. Use our belt clips to mount any equipment anywhere on the harness or any other belt.
